Prairie Farms, Leader in Quality Cheese Manufacturing

Prairie Farms’ cheese products are expertly crafted by hand under the highest food safety and hygienic quality protocols. As a farmer-owned cooperative, our cheesemakers have a direct connection to our locally-sourced milk, which is always tested before it leaves the farm to ensure quality, safe products end up on your table.

Prairie Farms Dairy Commitment to Quality

Quality is at the core of our foundation.  We pride ourselves in maintaining the following quality levels:

  • Proper quality systems and specifications to ensure safe, wholesome and nutritious products
  • All cheese production facilities are certified in both the SQF Food Safety Code for Food Manufacturing and SQF Food Quality Code
  • Semi-annual internal audits performed at each facility
  • Corporate Quality Control Department staff average 30+ years of experience

Preserving the quality and safety of milk begins on our farms and follows through to the refrigerator. All milk and dairy products must undergo multiple safety, quality, and sanitation tests and procedures on our farms, in transit, and at our processing plants to ensure their safety. Prairie Farms manufacturing facilities adhere to robust quality practices and protocols. All processing and packaging equipment is operated under Grade A Food Safety Standards and is SQF certified to maintain GFSI compliance.
