Prairie Farms Mindoro Cheese Plant

As one of the oldest active creameries in the state of Wisconsin, the Prairie Farms Mindoro cheese plant is home to our sought after Blue cheese and Gorgonzola.  The cheese manufacturing plant itself is over 100 years old and the original deck is still used for making cheese. In fact, the historic landmark known as the Mindoro Cut, a road chiseled through the hills in the area, was made back in 1907 specifically to shorten the travel of products from the Mindoro plant. Just like the road was man-made by hand, Mindoro’s cheeses are expertly hand-crafted with care.  Explore Mindoro’s products and capabilities below.
